Light Novels On The SAT #2

Ahhh, your buddy the RThor has brought another Anime Test! This time, it's a reading/literature test with TWO light novels! Henneko and Mayo Chiki! Note that both passages are from the first volumes. So if you already watched the anime or/and have read the first volumes, you don't have to worry about spoilers.

If you haven't seen my previous Anime Test posts, click here to check them out.

And as usual, good luck to both you and Yui.

Ooohh! It's TWO cute girls this time! I'm gonna ace this!

Answers & Explanations:

1. (B) Condescending means seeing yourself as superior to others. The first paragraph clearly shows Azusa demanding unrealistic favors for her and considering those as "natural" if "you" wants to converse with her.

2. (E)  The second paragraph describes Azusa's beauty. Not to mention there isn't a grain of sand's worth of negative emotions towards Azusa in the entire passage. Seeing how the narrator claims that Azusa is much more prettier than all the girls around her, he is complimenting her, at the very least.

3. (C)  Lines 9-13 justify choice (C).

4. (C)  Because objective means goal, and if you swap "aim" with "goal" into the sentence, it is natural, unlike the other choices. "The [goal] of today's date is for me and Komoe-senpai to get closer." Plug in the others yourself, and see what happens.

...Don't ask how I did...
